    Too many mods and too much money
    One night after many beers and a few other things, I plugged a 79' Les Paul into a Fender Dual Showman sitting on a Fender Twin 15" Bass Cabinet. I think it might have registered on the Richter scale somewhere. Sure shook the foundation of the old wooden house I lived in.
    The best guitar recordings in history were done through analog boards and Tube amps. Check out Dave Grohl's "Sound City" documentary. Great story about the glory days of the analog and tube era.
