Hello!

New owner of a 2K 4Runner, 2.7L, 200K+ miles. Purchased ($1K) from neigthbor 76yof (single owner) who purchased it new in 2K.

Brakes failed and she ran it into a steel guard post at the local shopping center. Nephew 'supposedly' repaired the issue with a new brake booster but she became to afraid of getting behind the wheel again.

Repaired the damage to the body (as you can see by the photos), replaced the ball joints, frront brake calipers, front and rear pads, rear brake cylinders, bled the entire system, new plugs, wires, igniters, and other minor parts within the cab. All in parts, not including my labor $1600.

Drove fine until last week when the brakes failed once again. Pedal to the floor. Thankfully, no one in front and coasted to a stop. Limped it back home. No fluid leaks noted anywhere. Re-bled the system, got air out of the rear left and right front. Pedal felt fine. Test drove and straight to the floor the pedal went. Waiting on a new booster and master cylinder.

In the meantime, WHERE THE HECK DOES THIS HOSE CONNECT??? It's the first curved hose off the charcoal canister. I've scoured the net and forums to no avail. The stupid thing dives into the engine well and disappears. SOMEONE HAS TO KNOW!!!
